Sweet Nothings and my Knights in Shining Armor

This was our fun Valentines Decor Project this year. Our little mailboxes served as love note central as we'd surprise each other with little notes, treats and even paper mice. Parker thought it fun to share the love she'd received from her kindergarten class by doling out the valentines she'd received and putting them in our mailboxes. Spiderman and Wall-E for Daddy and Sam and Barbies and Butterflies for Avery and I.

Matt took me on a little Valentines Vacay to Salt Lake where we enjoyed The Peter Brienholt Valentine concert, a nice hotel, and each other. Obviously our minds were a little pre-occupied having just been laid off, but the trip was already paid for and we tried to make the most of it. Peter B. was a blast as always and brought back a lot of memories as his music and concerts have been a part of our relationship from the beginning. It's always nice to enjoy a little time away with your sweetie! Thanks again Baby!

My other night in shining armor, Sam. This get up was his little v-day surprise from Mom & Dad. He loves playing dress-up, but we don't have a lot of "boy stuff", so he was pretty excited to get this! He refuses to put the face mask part up, but he can barely see out of it and it squishes his jaw, so it's hard to talk, but what's a knight without his face guard? A funny side story about this costume: yesterday Parker got in trouble for something and was sent to her room (stomping the entire way of course). Sam came running up to me shaking his finger saying "You not get mad at my sister! I will get you if you get mad at my sister!" A minute later he came running toward me, fully knighted, and poking me with the plastic sword, "You not mad at my sister!!" They are fiercely loyal to each other and very protective which of course, I love!

LOL! That is so darn cute! What's a brother if they aren't protective right?
