Today I learned (actually relearned) a few very important life lessons. Allow me to share...
1. Starting the day without my scripture study and a prayer makes a really big difference in my attitude.
2. Letting your 2 year old "drive" the car while the battery is being jumped is nonproductive. It can lead to needing the car jumped a second time later the same morning.
3. Thursdays- my free day- are generally nonproductive themselves.
4. Never think you have "just enough" time to stop at the store before your daughter gets home from school. Especially if you are with a climbing 2 year old and a 5 year old with an overactive bladder.
5. The self checkout line is not always faster.
6. Always check your receipt before leaving the store.
7. You should never leave all of the doors to the house locked if your daughter does not have a key.
8. A few minutes makes a big difference.
9. Never forget your reusable shopping bags. Plastic ones always rip at just the wrong moments.
10. Mom's need time outs too.
11. When little boys find things such as windex and electrosol tabs, they may try to feed them to their puppy.
12. A little time with the hubby is always good for the spirit.
13. So is a heaping bowl of melty peanut m&m's.

Mmmm. Isn't life fantastic? I'm so happy to hear that those days aren't exclusively mine. Perhaps it runs in our family? That must be it. Mind-blowing ironies and downright slapstick happenings are just in our Henderson pants.
